Diane von Furstenberg was born in 1946 and she started in the fashion market in 1972.
By the time that Diane von Furstenberg was 26 years old,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], she was a single mother,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a multimillionaire and finally a businesswoman that owned her own business.? Now, Diane von Furstenberg is also one of the few designers that took a 15 year hiatus and came back really strong in 1997.? She has been the President of Council of Fashion Designers of America from 2006 until now and she has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the CFDA.
Her first design?? A jersey wrap dress in 1972 – that is still her trademark design and her fabric of choice is patterns – of all sorts!
