The show has great potential to be a bread-winning hit. The three young brothers are children of a wealthy investment banker that has gone to prison, leaving them parent-less. The brothers don't want to be taken from their home. So, as an effort to avoid the social services institution, the hire hapless schemer, Ron Snuffkin (Tyler Labine), to pretend to be their father.
Canadian actor, Tyler Labine, most recently known for his iconic role as Sock in the short-lived series Reaper and his alien-chasing character, Dave, on ABC's invasion [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], always delivers. He is quirky, charismatic, funny and adorable in any role. Labine has brought his signature spiky hairstyle and quality humor to Sons of Tuscon, a fact that will not disappoint Labine enthusiasts and new comers alike.
After a rocky start and a short hiatus, Sons of Tuscon will be returning to FOX on June 6th and will be airing at 7:30 pm central time, right before The Simpsons. This seedling show deserves a shot at success. So, be sure to check it out upon its return.
What starts out as a desperate effort for children to maintain some semblance of a family by hiring a quirky Snuffkin to play dad, quickly turns into an alternate family that generates more than a few laughs. Snuffkin is down on his luck and accepts the offer from the children to trade his services for cash, but Snuffkin who is living is his car uses his knowledge of the children and their situation to get himself a place to crash.
Initially the kids make Snuffkin live in the garage, not really wanting to associate with him, but the children slowly open up and begin to trust him, finally inviting him into their home and hearts. While the crew initially seems like three small children and one slightly larger child, the bonds that are forming show us a tender portrait of people thrown together by circumstance that are making more than the best of a bad situation, forming a family like no other.
