Expo Central China 2009 was held on April 26-28, 2009 in Hefei Exhibition & Conference Center. Despite the negative impact imposed by the global financial crisis, the number of people present in the Expo reached as high as 16,000. Altogether there were 300 world top-500 companies and large-size transnational companies taking part in the Expo, including Cummins, Boeing, Carrefour, IBM, Tesco, etc. More than 160 China top-500 companies and leading companies of different industries as well as a large number of well-known private entrepreneurs, 100 leaders of overseas Chinese and 80 well-known foreign associations also attended the Expo.

As the main body in undertaking the businesses transferred from the Eastern costal area, the six provinces in Central China (including Anhui,Business process outsourcing, Jiangxi, Shanxi,Mobile solution, Henan, Hubei and Hunan) all set up their own exhibition halls to introduce their own economic and social development statuses and promote their good environments for investment. Besides,Call centre outsourcing, the Expo also attracted such cities as Hong Kong, Macau and Xiamen to hold exhibitions. Some special exhibition halls were also set up for transnational companies, China’s large-size companies and outsourcing cities.
